RARE Antique Circa 1900 Carved Wooden Eagle Bellamy Style<br>This piece was not carved by John Bellamy but it rivals his work i believe. The only notable difference is the shape of the beak, this one being more rounded and the eagles Bellamy did had a more square look. The paint on this piece is all original, giving it a beautiful patina. I cannot find any damage to this piece other than a small amount of paint missing by the large star on the banner and small very small spots of paint missing on the navy part of the shield. It measures 25 by 9 and is right at 5 inches deep. From my research I would date this piece around 1890 to 1900. Of course it was all hand carved and hand painted. A RARE piece indeed!
